Terms and Conditions of Participation

Scope of competition

These conditions of participation apply to participation in the prize competition “DOODLE A DOVE Art Competition” of The North York Moors National Park Trust, The Old Vicarage Bondgate, Helmsley, York, YO62 5BP.

 Any additional conditions stated in the competition shall take precedence over these Terms and Conditions of Participation.

Eligibility

  • Any natural person over the age of 18 and residing in the United Kingdom is eligible to participate. Participation may take place on behalf of another individual if the individual is under 18 (e.g., the participant’s child).

  • The Participant is responsible for the correctness of the contact data provided. The provision of false personal data may result in exclusion from the competition.

Participation

Participation in the competition is free of charge.

  • Employees of the Organiser, companies affiliated with the Organiser and cooperation partners as well as their relatives are excluded from participation.
  • Each Participant may only enter the competition once.
  • In the event of a violation of these Terms and Conditions of Participation by the Participant or other illegal or unfair actions, the Organiser reserves the right to exclude the Participant concerned from the competition. If necessary, in such a case, a prize can be subsequently revoked and its value reclaimed.

Determination of the Winner

The competition period is: 1st November – 10th December 2023

The following prizes will be awarded: one Leica Sport Optics binoculars, one Yorkshire Coast Nature Turtle Dove tour for two people (Date and time to be arranged), One signed Iolo Williams book.

The prize will be awarded by the Organiser after the end of the competition period to the winner/s who has taken part in the competition within the competition period, on the 8th December 2023 and have fulfilled the conditions of entry.

The Winner will be notified by social media and by email no later than 16th December 2023.

The Winner must inform the Organiser within two weeks of receipt of the prize notification whether he/she accepts the prize. If the Organiser does not receive an acceptance of the prize by the Winner within this period, the possibility of accepting the prize expires. In this case, the Organiser may draw and notify another Winner.

The prizes will be presented at the event on 13th January or sent to the winner by mail.

The prize is non-payable, non-transferable and cannot be exchanged.

Any consequential costs resulting from the Winner claiming the prize shall only be borne by the Organiser if this is expressly stated in the prize competition.

 Liability

The Organiser shall only be liable for damages in connection with the implementation of the competition if the damage was caused by intentional or grossly negligent conduct on the part of the Organiser.

The Organiser is also liable for slight negligence, if essential obligations of the Organiser, which make the implementation of the competition possible in the first place and on whose fulfilment the Participant may regularly rely, are violated. In this case, however, the scope of liability is limited to the typically foreseeable damage.

The aforementioned regulations of this clause 5 apply accordingly to the damage caused by legal representatives and vicarious agents of the Organiser.

Severability Clause

If any provision of these Terms and Conditions of Participation is or becomes invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions shall not be affected
